Ira Cohen
is a well known photographer, poet and and international traveler
who has lived in New York, Amsterdam, Nepal,
India and Morocco. His images have graced the covers of music albums
from Jimi Hendrix to Bill Laswell, and magazines from Life to Avant
Garde. He made the film Kings
With Straw Mats, about the Kumbh Mela where
many of these pictures were taken. WithPaul
Bowles and Brion Gysin in Morocco, he produced
